New Pokémon trainers Lyco and Roy are handling it pokemon Anime from Ash Ketchum who has starred in over 1,200 episodes over the past 25 years. It makes sense that a new team of villains would be taking over as well — and it looks like The Pokémon Company waited until the apparent retirement of Team Rocket to introduce new characters to fans.
The Pokémon Company introduced the three new characters in a video published on the games’ Japanese YouTube channel. The Pokémon experts at Serebi said that these characters – Ametheo and Konia – are part of an organization called the Explorers. It’s unclear if these new characters are villains, but the YouTube clip introducing the group is accompanied by some pretty menacing music.

Beyond Explorers, The Pokémon Company shared details on another new character called Gurumin, who wears a Nidoron suit. It’s very cute! These characters join the Pokémon company we shared in February: Professor Friede and Captain Pikachu.
